UNIT 4 Lesson 19～24 Christmas
第四单元 19～24课 圣诞节
Lesson 24 Maddy’s Christmas
Tomorrow is Christmas.
Christmas is my favourite holiday!
We are going to invite my aunt, uncle and cousins for dinner.
We are going to open our gifts.
We are going to sing Christmas songs.
I want to give my family something special for Christmas.
What am I going to give my family?
I don’t know! All the gifts are too small!
Yesterday I went shopping with my friend Anna.
Anna brought her mother a sweater for Christmas.
She brought her father a box of tea.
How much for one, please?
She bought her sister a teddy bear for Christmas.
I found a nice teddy bear.
But it was too small.
You are too big!
Anna talked to Santa at the shop.
What would you like for Christmas?
I would like a little, little toy.
I think Santa was afraid of me.
Today we are getting ready for Christmas.
We put lights on our house.
Now we are putting up our Christmas tree.
We put a star on the tree.
Then my mother and father put gifts under the tree.
My brother and sister put gifts under the tree, too.
I don’t have a gift!
Oh, no! I go to my bedroom.
I work and work.
Then I put a card on our Christmas tree.
On Christmas morning, my family opens my gift.
Thank you, Maddy!
It’s a song!
Everyone sings my song.
Here it is.
At Christmas we give gifts.
I have a gift for you.
It’s something very special.
But it isn’t something new.
I didn’t buy a thing for you.
The things were all too small.
My gift is that I love you.
It’s the biggest gift of all.
